We are hiring an experienced General Aviation Sheet Metal and Structural Repair A&P.

What are your responsibilities?

The Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for constructing and maintaining aircraft structural components and surface finishes. The role involves cutting and forming metal components, and installing and testing structural components. As an Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be required to read engineering drawings, use hand and power tools and understand the principles of aircraft structures. You will also be required to inspect and maintain aircraft components, and perform major sheet metal repairs. The job requires accuracy and attention to detail in order to ensure safety, as well as a good knowledge of safety protocols.

Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic Duties

  • Inspect and repair aircraft sheet metal components
  • Structural repair of General Aviation aircraft components
  • Install sheet metal components on aircraft
  • Fabricate and repair sheet metal components for aircraft
  • Drill, ream and countersink holes on aircraft components
  • Perform riveting and other fastening techniques

Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic Requirements

  • FAA Aircraft and Powerplant A&P Certificate
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of aircraft sheet metal structures and components
  • Ability to use appropriate tools and sheet metal forming equipment
  • Ability to carry out repairs and modifications to sheet metal components
